Blume Ed Consulting is based in Texas and serves families and schools throughout the state. Depending on your needs, services may be provided in person or virtually. We do work with families outside of Texas for Advocacy and Speaking Engagements.

A psychoeducational evaluation is a comprehensive assessment that examines how a student learns. We provide educational evaluations for learning disabilities, dyslexia, ADHD-related educational concerns, autism educational eligibility, intellectual disabilities, emotional disabilities, reevaluations, Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs), and college or professional accommodation evaluations.
Most evaluations are completed over one or two testing sessions, depending on the student's age, attention span, and the type of evaluation being conducted. Testing typically ranges from two to four hours in one day or over multiple days
The evaluation process may include interviews, record review, standardized assessments, observations when appropriate, and collaboration with parents or educators. Every evaluation is individualized based on the student's concerns and referral questions.

A medical diagnosis of autism must be made by a qualified healthcare provider. At Blume Ed Consulting, we conduct comprehensive educational evaluations to determine whether a student meets eligibility criteria for Autism under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) for special education services in the school setting. Autism evaluations are multidisciplinary in nature and should include a licensed specialist with expertise in autism, such as a school psychologist or licensed psychologist, as appropriate. While a medical diagnosis is not required for educational eligibility, input from a developmental pediatrician, neurologist, psychiatrist, or other qualified medical provider can provide valuable supporting information and is often recommended to help develop a comprehensive understanding of the student's needs.
