My passion for special education and advocacy began with my sister, Jackie, who has an intellectual disability and attended Bayes Achievement Center in Huntsville. Watching her journey inspired me to dedicate my career to supporting students with disabilities and helping families navigate the educational process. She is the reason I do what I do and continues to inspire my commitment to advocacy, inclusion, and meaningful support for every child.
She is a member of :
TEDA- Texas Educational Diagnosticians Association

COPAA- Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates
Jamie is an integral part of Blume Ed Consulting LLC, helping keep operations organized and ensuring our families receive timely communication and support.
Jamie is a proud mom of two and wife to a fellow Marine Corps Veteran. My oldest daughter, Autumn, has Down syndrome, and through her journey we’ve learned how to navigate IEPs, paraprofessionals, and the special education process with confidence and advocacy. Autumn is actively involved in Special Olympics and absolutely thriving.
As a family, we love camping, spending time outdoors, and making memories together. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and playing video games. My experiences as both a parent and advocate have given me a deep passion for supporting and connecting with other families on similar journeys.
I look forward to assisting you!

Blume Educational Consulting was founded from a personal journey inspired by my sister, Jackie, who has an intellectual disability and is nonverbal. Growing up, I witnessed firsthand the challenges families face navigating special education services and school systems that were not always equipped to support students with complex needs.
By the age of 14, I was attending ARD/IEP meetings and helping care for my sister, experiences that shaped my passion for advocacy and special education. Her journey inspired me to pursue a career in the field and continue my education toward a PhD in Special Education.
Today, my mission is to be a voice for students who may not have one, while also supporting families, educators, administrators, and school districts through collaboration, training, and advocacy. I believe students are best served when schools and families work together — not against one another.

Our mission is to train and support educators, administrators, and school districts in developing high-quality special education programs aligned with TEA and IDEA guidelines. Through program reviews, professional development, parent support, and collaboration, Blume Educational Consulting works to improve services for students with special needs while helping families navigate diagnoses and educational services. Our goal is to foster stronger partnerships between schools and families while reducing the need for outside advocacy through proactive, student-centered support.
Blume Educational Consulting is proudly Christian-based, and we believe this work is guided by faith, compassion, and purpose. Without God’s guidance, support, and the talents He has provided, Blume Educational Consulting would not exist.
